About Cham Soot Gol

Cham Soot Gol is a korean restaurant in Buena Park, California. It is listed at 8552 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90620, which places it among the local businesses of Buena Park that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Buena Park is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Buena Park follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Nice environment & staff but the meat was lacking. The tables were clean and the staff was very friendly and attentive but the meat seemed to be missing flavor. I mainly picked marinated meats but the marinate seemed be missing the mark. Complimentary ice cream is included at the end of the meal which is a nice addition.

We had an excellent experience at Cham Soot Gol in Buena Park, California. From the moment we were seated, our server was friendly, attentive, and made the entire dining experience enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and plentiful. We especially loved having the meal cooked right in front of us with the helpful assistance of our server, which made the experience both interactive and memorable. One of the highlights of our visit was getting to talk with our server, who shared some of his experiences playing junior golf with several top professional golfers now on the PGA Tour. He spoke with such a humble and down-to-earth demeanor, which made the conversation even more enjoyable and genuine. This is a wonderful place to take a break in your day, gather with friends, and enjoy an authentic and satisfying meal together. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting again!

I want to start by saying service was great. We got in at around 3:00PM and only two guys were manning the restaurant, but they were very attentive and patient. They answered all of our questions and got to us rather quickly for both service and seating. The rest of this review is no fault of service. The two stars come from the quality of the food. Out of our entire meal, only the beef belly was considerably decent. The brisket and pork belly were tougher than expected and not as flavorful. The banchan was rather lacking. The kimchi was strangely sweet and the other sides looked unappetizing. The steamed egg was overcooked and felt more like an omelet than anything, and classic sides like corn cheese weren’t on the menu (though I can’t fault them greatly for things not offered). I just expected more in terms of quality, for the meats and the banchan. There is a lack of variety that you would get at other KBBQ restaurants, and that hampers the experience. If you’re looking for more budget friendly KBBQ spots, consider another place or consider going somewhere pricier. But, again, service was top notch. Kudos to the staff. Best part of the dining experience.

I’m going to honest. This was the most disappointing KBBQ place I’ve been to because of the food and I’m not exaggerating. I know I shouldn’t be expecting high end stuff because it’s budget AYCE, but the brisket was tough and brittle. The cucumber kimchi was really, really sweet and it’s not supposed to taste like that. The steamed egg was overcooked. The side dishes are not good. There isn’t as much variety in the side dishes you can order compared to other KBBQs. The service was amazing though. There were two servers when we showed up and they were both helpful, friendly, and attentive. They were the best part of the dining experience here.

We went in with a large party, but the service was still very good and attentive. Props to the staff for being professional even though we had a lot of kids with us. This is a good place to take your family or large parties. If you are doing the A-level menu I would stick to the thinly sliced beef and pork belly. If you are doing the B-level menu I would add in beef tongue as well. I also like their selection of banchan. The potato salad, japchae, and fish cake were my favorites. They give you free ice cream at the end too. It's straight out of the freezer so it's a bit hard, but it's good once it warms up. I always get the green tea ice cream.
